Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Short version: PhotoSweep never uploads, transmits, or stores your photos or videos anywhere. All photo review, sorting, and deletion happens entirely on your device using Apple's Photos framework. There is no account, no server, and no backend of any kind.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to the PhotoSweep website and the PhotoSweep iPhone app. PhotoSweep is a product by Kin Lab.
Your photos and videos
PhotoSweep reads your photo library on-device through Apple's PhotoKit framework, entirely to power the app's own review and deletion features (grouping into month cards, the swipe session, and the Review Tray). Your photos and videos are never copied off your device, never sent to Kin Lab or any third party, and never leave your phone at any point.
When you confirm a deletion, PhotoSweep asks the system to delete the selected items through Apple's own confirmation dialog. Deleted items follow Apple's standard Recently Deleted retention in the Photos app, the same as if you had deleted them yourself.
Information we do collect
PhotoSweep uses TelemetryDeck for basic, anonymous product analytics (for example, which screens are used) so we can improve the app. This analytics collection does not use advertising identifiers, does not require App Tracking Transparency, and never includes your photos, video content, or anything derived from them.
If you contact support, we receive whatever you include in that email, such as your email address, device details, and the message itself.
No account, no backend
PhotoSweep does not require or offer sign-in of any kind. There is no PhotoSweep server that stores your library, your decisions, or your usage history. Everything the app remembers (review progress, stats, preferences) is stored locally on your device.
Payments and subscriptions
If you choose to unlock PhotoSweep Pro, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we have no photo or video content to sell or share in the first place, since none of it ever reaches us. We may disclose limited information where required by law or to protect users, Kin Lab, or the public.
Your choices
You control which photos PhotoSweep can access through iOS's photo permission settings (full access or a limited selection), and you can revoke that access at any time in Settings. Removing the app removes everything PhotoSweep stored locally.
Children
PhotoSweep is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as PhotoSweep evolves. The latest version will always be published at this URL with the revised date.
